If you’re considering moving your mould tools to a new supplier, Clarity Plastics makes the process fast, transparent, and low risk. Our dedicated Tool Transfer Process has been developed to protect continuity of supply, safeguard tool condition, and get production back up and running with minimal disruption.

We regularly manage single-tool and multi-tool transfers across both our Birmingham and Telford manufacturing sites, supporting customers who are consolidating suppliers, improving quality, adding capacity, or responding to urgent supply chain issues. Whether planned or short-notice, every transfer follows a structured, proven approach.

Every tool transfer includes a FREE Tool Maintenance Healthcheck on arrival. Our in-house toolroom team inspects each mould and fixture, identifying wear, risks, and improvement opportunities. You receive a clear, honest condition report and recommended actions before production begins, so there are no hidden surprises later.

Speed is critical during a transfer, so our teams are set up to move quickly:

• Tools booked in, inspected, and prepared immediately on arrival

• Sampling and trials typically completed within 24 hours

• Measurement and ISIR approval often achieved within 48 hours, allowing production to begin without delay

Customers are welcome to attend sampling trials in person. This gives you the opportunity to see your tools running, review parts first-hand, and approve components on the spot, in many cases enabling an immediate transition into live production and reducing downtime even further.

Our experience ranges from large, planned multi-tool transfer programmes through to urgent rescue situations. In time-critical cases, we have assessed tools the same day they arrive, produced diagnostic reports within hours, and run overnight moulding trials to maintain customer supply. That combination of rapid technical assessment, fast turnaround moulding, and detailed reporting gives customers confidence and control at every stage.
